The shiny metal, gold, has become a most precious commodity for jewelry and investment.  There are many types of gold with the most popular types being the yellow gold, white gold, rose and black gold.

The purity of gold differs in each gold type, depending on the alloy quantum. The more alloy in the gold mix, the lower the gold purity. The purity of gold determines its karat weight. Pure gold will have 24 karat gold; a piece of 22 karat gold enjoys only 91.7% purity or a 22/24 point while 18 karat gold stands at 75% purity or an 18/24 point.

Many turn to buying  gold coins as a form of investment as well as to possess gold.
